Our Story

Denmark's first
Trade fair center

The foundation MESSE C, which was originally called the Danish Trade Fair Foundation, celebrated in 2015 its 100th anniversary, making it the first trade fair center in denmark.

The interest was enormous at the first buying convention, which took place from 1-8. September 1913 in the drill hall at Østervold in Fredericia.

Enterprising business people and politicians from the area therefore established the Danish Trade Fair Foundation on 29 November 1915. Already the following year, a new exhibition building was ready at Prins Christian's Bastion, designed by architect Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen.

The building was gradually expanded several times, but it eventually became too small and cramped, so in 1976 a new fair hall at the time 12.000 m2 on Vestre Ringvej in Fredericia.

MESSE C on Vestre Ringvej has also been expanded several times and now has 33.000 m2 under one roof.
