Exciting talks at Creative Days
Once again this year there is the opportunity to hear exciting talks at Kreative Dage on 23-25 October at MESSE C in Fredericia. Just like last year, Maria Bjerg - known as Skaberglæde - will invite inspiring people to talk about their entry into the creative world and how they use their handicrafts to find an outlet for their creative ideas.
This year, Maria welcomes Mette Hvitved, author and knitwear designer, who had her big breakthrough in 2025 with the book, Knit with a single stitch, which topped several bestseller lists
Mette Hvitved has a background as an architect, and in the conversation with Maria she will talk about how she uses it in her approach to the design process for her knitting projects. How she loves the mathematics behind a good construction and how she combines technique and aesthetics. Look forward to an exciting conversation between two yarn and knitting nerds.
The second guest at Maria's is Sæþór Kristinsson, who is perhaps best known as the winner of Den Store Bagedyst in 2021, but who has since turned his creative talents to crochet, among other things. He talks to Maria about his many creative projects, how he gets inspired across the different craft and needlework disciplines, and tells us what it's like to embark on a new field like crochet, where skills don't always match ideas.
