Furniture fair takes next step after strong premiere
Svane Design is among the almost 60 exhibitors who have already registered for next year's MESSE C Furniture Fair in Fredricia.

After a sold-out debut and solid industry support, Svane Design, among others, is ready for the next chapter at MESSE C Furniture Fair in 2026.
When the new trade and purchasing fair MESSE C Furniture Fair premiered in the spring of 2025, it was a huge success. 60 exhibitors meant the fair area, which was expanded from 8.000 to 10.000 square meters, was sold out. Representatives from almost 550 companies in the furniture trade stopped by Fredericia, and both they and the exhibitors gave the new event overwhelmingly good reviews.
In April 2026, the second edition of MESSE C Furniture Fair will take place, which, with a slight rewrite of the Olympic motto, is expected to be even bigger, better and broader.
- I experienced a great premiere fair - a lot was done with the stands, and there was great support from all our furniture customers in Denmark. It's exciting to start something new, but it often all comes a little easier once you've got it going, so I'm looking forward to the second one, says Vagn Jensen, owner and founder of Svane Design, which offers a wide selection of furniture in Danish design, especially for the dining and living room.
Need for a unifying furniture fair
- I believe that the success of the first edition will attract even more visitors next time, hopefully even more from Sweden, Norway and Germany, among others. And I hope that we can offer an even broader field of exhibitors, also from the more exclusive end. I think we need a real furniture fair in Denmark, like we had years ago, to the delight of both suppliers and customers - and some good steps have been taken in that direction, he points out.
According to the owner, developments in two of our neighboring countries are helping to increase the potential for the trade fair in Fredericia.
- There is not much left of the fair in Cologne, which was huge years ago, and the fair in Stockholm is probably more of a design fair today. So against that background, I think you can have high expectations, says Vagn Jensen, who praises MESSE C's facilities, service level and location right in the middle of the country.
- For our part at Svane Design, we will be focusing on dining tables, dining chairs and classic sofas at the fair - and we may also have a surprise up our sleeve, says Vagn Jensen with a smile.
