MESSE C launches new clay and ceramics event: Clay Days

MESSE CTrade FairClaydays

MESSE C opens the doors to a whole new clay and ceramics universe when Clay Days takes place for the first time on April 18 and 19, 2026. Here, the exhibition halls are transformed into a living workshop filled with creativity, learning and inspiration for everyone with a passion for clay and ceramics.

Clay Days is not a classic fair, but a tribute to craftsmanship.
For two days, guests can explore a creative ceramics environment, where the turntables spin, the kilns glow, and both established ceramists and beginners share knowledge, techniques and, not least, enthusiasm.

Clay Days differs from the classic fair experience by inviting participants to get up close and personal with the craft. Once you have purchased admission, you gain access to the entire universe, and are then free to put together your own day by purchasing workshops according to your interest and level.

Community at the center

Ceramics is both craftsmanship, immersion and community, and community is the focal point of Clay Days.

"We want to create Denmark's coziest ceramics workshop.,” says project manager Ida from the Clay Days team.A place where everyone, regardless of experience, can meet, learn from each other and feel the creative community."

Whether you work professionally, as a hobby potter or are simply curious about the universe of clay, there is room at the workshop table. Clay Days also features a selection of stands with tools, materials and equipment so guests can take inspiration home.

The team behind Clay Days

Behind Clay Days is a committed team from MESSE C, all of whom, in their own way, are passionate about creativity, community and ceramics. The team includes both experienced hobby ceramists, budding ceramics enthusiasts and curious beginners, and it is precisely this mix that helps shape Clay Days.

Helle, Janne, Ida, Nicole and Louise bring different perspectives to the craft and the creative world. Some have had their hands deep in clay themselves, others are passionate about creative communities, but what they all have in common is the desire to create a place where everyone can feel at home.

Their diversity means that Clay Days is developed with both professionalism, curiosity and love for clay as the focal point.

Educational workshops and inspiring experiences

At Clay Days, participants can look forward to a weekend filled with creative expression and immersion. The workshops range widely, so everyone, from beginners to experienced ceramists, can find something to suit their level and interest. Here, you can try your hand at everything from turning and modeling to advanced glazing techniques and firing methods, while having the opportunity to ask questions, experiment and learn directly from skilled presenters.

In addition to workshops, there will be live demonstrations and inspiring talks, where both artists and passionate ceramic enthusiasts will share their experiences, ideas and little secrets from the workshop. At the same time, guests will be able to explore a selection of stands with tools, materials and equipment, so they can take inspiration home and continue their creativity at home.
