Creative Days secure money for good causes

“When Kreative Dage provides us with a stand for free, it means that we can make a profit so that we can help even more vulnerable families”, says Hanne Lumby from Mødrehjælpen in Fredericia. “This year, for example, we were able to send 10 families on a luxury holiday in their own cabin at Trelde Næs Camping, and we expect to be able to do it again next year with the profits from this year's fair”.

The Mother's Aid camping holidays at Trelde Næs Camping are becoming a permanent tradition and were held for the fourth time this year with the help of Mother's Aid volunteers. The project is supported by the Tryg Foundation, among other things, but with the money from the sales at Kreative Dage, the offer of holidays can be made to even more vulnerable families. 

“We are happy to provide a stand for a good cause, and it is great to see that the profits are used to help worthy families in need in the local area,” says Kim Skovby Klindt, project manager for Kreative Dage. “As a large gathering place in Fredericia, MESSE C has a social responsibility, and therefore we would like to support local initiatives that make a difference.”

Warm Hugs for the Homeless

Another charitable project that was in place for Creative Days was “Det Varme Kram”, which supplies hats, gloves and scarves to hot rooms and hangouts so that homeless people can stay warm through the winter. Dorte Dalhoff is the woman behind the initiative, and she was at Creative Days to raise awareness of the project and to encourage people to donate yarn so that she can produce even more winter clothing for those in need.

"The Creative Days went better than I had dared to hope for," says Dorte Dalhoff. "There were a lot of people who became aware of "The Warm Hug" and who expressed their willingness to support with leftover yarn. This has meant that I have received a lot of yarn after the fair, so I can now reach out even further and make even more homeless people happy with warm clothes for the winter."
