In the midst of the fair's throng of people, impressions and activities, it's important to remember to take a little break. A moment where you can breathe, let your thoughts calm down and just be present. At Pompon and Port Wine In Hall D we invite you into a corner of the fair where the pace is slow and the atmosphere is high.
Here you can settle down with your needlework, listen to a reading and - if you feel like it - enjoy a glass of port wine. The only thing that rhymes with pompon is, of course, port wine, and together they create the perfect setting for a sensual and relaxing experience. Without screens and noise, you get the opportunity to immerse yourself in literature and your own creative abilities - a healthy and nourishing break for both body and mind.
You can bring your own project or make a pom-pom from the leftover yarn we have provided. It's not about performance, but about enjoying and letting the words and yarn find their rhythm.

Mette Stougaard Thomsen is an experienced literary communicator who, with her keen sense of language and atmosphere, manages to bring literature very close to the audience. She reads from “Take one last look at everything beautiful” af Kristin Vego and “The blue yarn” af Karin Erlandsson - two books that each revolve in their own way around women's lives, sensuality and creativity. With Mette as the narrator, the literature is not just heard but felt.

Thomas Ladegaard reads from his latest thriller Protection - a thought-provoking story of protection and resistance, which takes place in the last days of World War II. In addition, objects from the occupation period will be displayed.

Thomas Skovmand sits at the desk and writes his next thriller, in the middle of the living space, where ideas and words are allowed to grow. The project normally takes place in Vejle, but has moved to MESSE C for the Creative Days. Thomas also talks about the work and reads aloud.
